Introduction:
NVIDIA, a global leader in accelerated computing and AI, is seeking passionate software engineers for its Autonomous Vehicles division. This team is at the forefront of driving innovation in AI-based mapping and navigation systems for self-driving vehicles. Engineers in this role will focus on developing and deploying state-of-the-art AI algorithms, including Large Language Models (LLMs), Visual Language Models (VLMs), and graph-based deep learning solutions, catering to real-world problems in autonomous navigation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Research and develop transformer-based models optimized for graph data structures
- Build evaluation frameworks for large-scale LLMs in mapping domains
- Design and enhance algorithms for map-based autonomous driving products
- Fine-tune and implement state-of-the-art models on domain-specific datasets
- Develop visualization tools for graph mining utilized in navigation maps
- Integrate graph-structured data with foundation generative AI models

Requirements:
- PhD or Master’s in Computer Science, AI, Applied Math, or related fields with 3+ years’ experience
- Expertise in mathematical fundamentals, AI/deep learning algorithms (frameworks: PyTorch, TensorFlow, TensorRT)
- Hands-on skills in programming, debugging, and performance analysis
- Experience with LLMs, VLMs, and transformer models for mapping/navigation is highly desirable
- Strong background with multimodal generative AI and graph-based deep learning
- Familiarity with navigation maps (NDS.Live, OpenStreetMaps), graph optimization, and published research is a plus
